Our Nurses

Vicky Raymond V.N.

Vicky is our Head Nurse, she joined us in December 2000 and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2004, after having passed NVQ level 2 and 3 in veterinary Nursing. Vicky also has a National Diploma in Animal Management, and a level 2 in Evolution of Animal Behaviour. Vicky is a Petplan Insurance advisor, a Hills Pet Nutritionist and a Pet Arthritis councillor. Vicky also has a certificate in Veterinary Dentistry, and she has also recently completed a course on human first aid. Vicky has many roles here at the practice as well as being our head Nurse Vicky is also an A1 V.N assessor and helps to train student veterinary Nurses. Vicky also along with our other Nurse Gemma runs our Nurse clinics and our very popular Puppy Parties. Vicky has a hand reared cat called Ralph, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Nell and two Rabbits called Bob and Slippy. Vicky has a keen interest in Veterinary Dentistry.

Gemma Atkinson V.N. SQP

Gemma joined us in September 2004 as a student Veterinary Nurse. She has a National diploma in Animal management and is now a qualified Veterinary Nurse after passing NVQ level 2 and 3 in Veterinary Nursing at Warwickshire college. Gemma is also a Qualified SQP (a suitably qualified person) which allows Gemma to authorise the supply of certain veterinary medicine categories, which comes in very handy as Gemma is responsible for the ordering of all the practices veterinary medicines, stock and supplies. Gemma is also a Petplan Insurance advisor and a Hills pet Nutritionist. Gemma also helps run our Nurse clinics. Gemma has two cats called Dartagnan and Leo, a Staffordshire Bull terrier called Tyson and and a Miniature pinscher called Lennox. Gemma has a keen interest in veterinary medicines and Parasite control.

Nikki Dowery V.N.

Nikki Joined us in 2000 and is a qualified Veterinary Nurse, having passed NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Veterinary Nursing. Nikki is a Petplan Insurance advisor and a Hills Pet Nutritionist. Nikki works part time so she can look after her two young children Jack and Keira. Nikki has two chocolate Labradors called Charlie and Alfie and a cat called Minnie.











Becky Groves Student Veterinary Nurse

Becky joined the practice in September last year as a student Veterinary Nurse, and is studying NVQ Veterinary Nursing at Warwickshire college. Before working here Becky had done previous work experience at a vets. Becky is a petplan insurance advisor. Becky has a keen interest in Physiotherapy. Becky has a Border collie called Ruby, two leopard geckos called Greg and Lacey and she recently rescued a kitten called Ollie.
