Our Services and FacilitiesFacilities
ServicesAs well as general veterinary care such as check ups, vaccinations, neutering, Micro-chipping and flea and worming, we also provide the following services: Puppy partiesOur Head Nurse Vicky runs a weekly puppy party here at the practice for all our new puppies following their first vaccination. Our Nurses are on hand to answer any questions you might have on your puppies development such as feeding, toilet training and neutering etc. So you can sit back and watch your puppy play and interact with other puppies of all breeds, shapes and sizes. Puppy socialisation is very important, puppies should be socialised as much as possible from a very young age and be introduced to as may new things as possible so that he or she will grow into a well behaved adult. Nurse clinicsOur Nurses run regular Nurse clinics here at the practice and are here to offer guidance and advise you on all your pets needs. The Nurses particularly specialise in: Weight clinics- A third of Britain's pet dogs are overweight, too many fatty treats and a lack of exercise can reduce your pets' life-expectancy and cause them serious health problems. Cats are also getting bigger with one in four now overweight. Pet obesity can cause diabetes, arthritis, heart problems and many more serious conditions. With our help and a strict calorie controlled diet we can get your pet fit, healthy and happy again. Senior clinicsWe believe older pets should have regular checks to help identify early signs of ageing such as weight gain/loss, dental disease, osteoarthritis, diabetes, kidney disease and many other age related conditions. Early detection often allows us to delay the onset of ageing signs to help maintain good health and an excellent quality of life well into old age. Any dog or cat over the age of 8 years can benefit. Dental clinicsAfter a scale and polish, or if you just need some help and advice our Nurses will show you how to clean your pet's teeth yourself at home and be on hand to give any advice or answer any questions you have on dental care and the many different products now available for your pet.. Brushing your pets teeth is very important because plaque and tartar can build up on the teeth very quickly causing bad breath, gum disease and many more problems. Despite brushing teeth regularly professional dental treatment is often still needed and most cats and dogs will need their teeth scaling and polishing regularly to keep their mouths healthy. Other Nurse consultations include Nail clipping, grooming, rabbit care, feeding advice and flea and worm prevention. There is no charge for a Nurse consultation, or for weighing your pet, you will only be charged for any treatment given to your pet, so why not call to book an appointment with one of our fully qualified Nurses.
