Vaccination And Annual Health Check

For Cats

We recommend vaccination for all cats to protect them against certain diseases. We offer two different vaccination courses for cats:- 1)FELIGEN RCP This is the 'standard' cat vaccine which protects your kitten from cat 'flu due to two different viruses - calicivirus and feline herpes virus, and also from feline enteritis. CAT 'FLU can cause serious disease which may be fatal in young kittens. Even if the cat recovers, it can become a carrier of the virus and have episodes of 'flu for the rest of its life. FELINE ENTERITIS causes severe sickness and diarrhoea and is often fatal. 2)LEUCOGEN protects your cat against FELINE LEUKAEMIA VIRUS infection. This infection is quite common - about 10% of healthy cats in the UK are carrying the virus and your cat can become infected from one of these. This virus kills more cats in the UK than any other single infection. To protect a kitten against all these diseases, two injections three weeks apart are required , starting from at least 9 weeks old. Once a kitten has received its initial course of injections, it will be protected for 12 months. After this, it will need a single booster injection every year to keep it protected.
