Emma joined us in September 2002 and has
recently qualified as a Veterinary Nurse. She has a BTec National Diploma in
Animal Care, a Petplan Insurance Advisor Certificate and a Hills Nutritional
Councillor Certificate and NVQ
Veterinary Nursing levels 2and 3. She started as a Saturday worker in a
veterinary practice in Shirley in 1996 and has been working full time in
veterinary practices locally since 1997. She has lots of veterinary nursing
experience including locum work at a dedicated emergency clinic. She runs the
Podgy Pet Club at the practice for
dogs and cats that need to lose weight and has had plenty of success
with winners of the regional finals of
the National Pet Slimmer of the Year for the past two years. As
well as her 5 year old daughter, Ellie, Emma has a Pomeranian - Milly , 3 Persian cats - Mr Jinx, Buffy
and Leah and another cat called Tia, a rabbit called Mork, two hand reared
tame Squirrels, a Shetland pony -
Ziggy and 4 guinea pigs. She does boarding of cats,small dogs,rabbits and
other small pets at home and does Cat and Kitten rescue - rehoming and
sometimes rearing abandoned or orphan kittens. |
